1.Who are the people of the book?
There is a lot of debate surrounding who exactly the people of the book are. Some say that they are simply Jews and Christians, while others believe that the term also includes Muslims. Regardless of who you believe the people of the book to be, there is no denying that they play an important role in religious history.
The term “people of the book” is most commonly used to refer to Jews and Christians. This is because these are the two groups who most commonly share the Old Testament, which is also known as the Hebrew Bible. The Old Testament is a collection of religious texts that were written by ancient Israelites. It includes some of the most famous stories from the bible, such as Adam and Eve, Noah’s Ark, and Moses leading the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt.
While Muslims do not share the Old Testament with Jews and Christians, they do consider themselves to be part of the Abrahamic tradition. This means that they too trace their origins back to Abraham, who is considered to be the father of both Judaism and Islam. For this reason, some people believe that Muslims should also be included when referring to the people of the book.

What are the book’s major themes?
The book of Genesis is the first book of the Bible, and it covers a lot of ground. In just a few chapters, Genesis tells us about creation, the Fall, Noah and the flood, God’s covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Joseph and his brothers in Egypt, and finally Moses leading the Israelites out of captivity. With so many different stories, it can be hard to see what they all have in common. But if we look closely, we can see that there are three major themes running throughout Genesis:
-The theme of creation: Genesis 1-2 tell us that God created the world and everything in it. He made humans in His own image to enjoy a special relationship with Him.
-The theme of redemption: Genesis 3-11 shows us how sin entered the world and ruined our relationship with God. But even though we sinned, God still loved us and promised to send a Savior to redeem us.
-The theme of blessing: Genesis 12-50 demonstrates how God kept His promise to bless Abraham and his descendants. Even when they were disobedient, God was faithful to His covenant and continued to bless them.
These three themes — creation, redemption, and blessing — are found throughout the entire Bible. As we read Genesis (and the rest of Scripture), we see that these themes are really about who God is and what He has done for us.
