The Bookshelf
The bookshelf is the most common place to find a book in Granny’s house. It is usually located in the living room or den, and it may be the only place in the house where there is any order. The bookshelf may be full of books, or it may only have a few.
The Coffee Table
The coffee table is the gathering place in most homes. It’s where we eat, drink, work, play and sometimes even sleep. It’s also where we put our feet up and relax. So it’s no surprise that one of the first questions people ask when they start looking for a new home is, “Where does the book go in Granny’s house?”

-First, consider the size and shape of your room. If you have a large open space, you’ll probably want a sofa and coffee table that face each other. This will create an intimate conversation area. If you have a smaller space, or if your furniture is pushed up against the walls, you might want to consider a round or oval coffee table that can be easily accessed from all sides.
-Second, think about how you’ll be using your coffee table. Do you want it to be a place to display books and magazines? A place to rest your feet? A place to set down your drinks? Once you know how you’ll be using it, you’ll have a better idea of what kind of table to choose.
-Third, take a look at your existing furniture. What kind of style are you going for? Do you want something that matches your other pieces or something that stands out as a statement piece? If you’re not sure, look around at some different options before making a decision.

Under the Bed
The bed is a great place to store things in Granny’s house. It is out of the way and usually not too cluttered. You can put things under the bed, on top of the bed, or even in the bed itself. If you are putting things under the bed, be sure to use something to keep them dust free. A box with a lid or a storage container with a lid will work well. You can also use a dust cover that is made specifically for this purpose.
On the Windowsill
Granny’s house is old, and it’s full of nooks and crannies. One of these is the windowsill in the living room. That’s where Granny keeps her favorite book.
In the Closet
The book goes on the top shelf in the closet, next to the photo albums.
In the Toybox
The book goes in the toybox with the other toys.
In the Attic
The book goes in the attic.
In the Basement
There are many rooms in Granny’s house, but where does the book go? The book goes in the basement. The basement is a room in the house that is usually not used very much. It is usually dark and musty and has a lot of storage space.
In the Garage
The book goes in the garage.
In the Garden
The book goes in the garden, behind the bushes.
