The Love and Gelato series is a set of young adult novels by author Jenna Evans Welch. The series follows the adventures of main character Lina, as she navigates love, loss, and self-discovery against the backdrop of some of Italy’s most beautiful cities.
The first book in the series, Love & Gelato, was published in 2016 and follows Lina’s journey to Florence after the death of her mother. The second book in the series, Kisses & Croissants, was published in 2018 and picks up where Love & Gelato left off. Lina is now living in Paris with her father and stepmother and attending a prestigious art school. But when things at home begin to unravel, Lina finds herself drawn back into her mother’s world through another one of her journals. This time, the journal takes Lina on a journey through Provence, where she learns more about both herself and her mother than she ever could have imagined.
The third book in the series has not yet been announced but is expected to be released sometime in 2020.
